Hindus need to look at how they address the forces against them in India.
It’s alright to be outraged that a Kathua has politicians, actors and presstitutes creating a sustained surround sound while reducing a similar rape in a madarsa akin to a weather bulletin.
You see a Shekhar Gupta plaster his twitter’s wall page with the image of Kathua lawyer; Bollywood bimbos hold placards in protest; Rajdeep Sardesai and Sagarika Ghose convulse through dozens of tweets on Kathua but the Madarsa rape doesn’t interest these clergies of morality.
The same on Biplab Das. The cabal has woken up to Tripura and are hounding a young politician who was central to a tectonic shift in North East in a truly historic election of independent India. Das is used as an excuse to parody the Hindu gods; there is a silent acquiescing to a profane Western historian calling Rama a “pig”. Neither “Janeudhari” Rahul Gandhi nor “Why-I-Am-A-Hindu” Shashi Tharoor are offended.
This cabal would hammer away at a Biplab Das but the constant blabbering and lies of a Rahul Gandhi is met with “his-speech-is-improving” innuendo.
There is a forceful counterpoint—I would term them as “Lone Rangers” henceforth–from OpIndia and SwarajyaMag; Postcard News and PGurus; a few TV news networks stand up to the shameless; erudite voices such as David Frawley, Rakesh Sinha and firebrand Shefali Vaidya rip open this Zanus-faced cabal. Yet it all appears a mine-blast compared to the guided munitions which rain from the sky.
What’s the trick outraged Hindus are missing?
Social Media: The Left-Liberal cabal has only 8-10 voices which it has created and promoted into brands (It has to be a “creation” for they never ever take a critical look as Christo-Islamic forces). The “nexus” works with everyone promoting and shielding each other. Those voices are picked by a similar network abroad. Stray voices, similar themes and a lie is easily brushed into a truth.
Our “Lone Rangers” on the other hand rarely form a formation. At the most a retweet and a shelf-life of a few hours. Mostly, each to his own. There is no method. There is no understanding that a sum is bigger than the parts.
Television: Most of us remember a harebrained Saba Naqvi; a mangy John Dayal or a scruffy Kumar Ketkar from TV debates on Prime Time. Could you name any independent neutral voice you remember? There are dime-a-dozen forceful presences on twitter (What the heck, let me bite my own bullet and name my favourite Dirty Dozen: @mediacrooks, @nesenag, @shefvaidya @unsubtledesi @rahulroushan, @rajivmessage, @davidfrawleyved, @madhukishwar, @mvmeet, @SreeIyer1 @thejaggi and @ARanganathan72). Not all are right-wing voices; some could be overtly critical too of NDA government (like @mediacrooks, @ARanganathan and @thejaggi). Yet, either they shy away or TV networks keep them out. This must change. TV news are very stale and badly needs fresh voices. Social Media must bring out a sustained pressure on them to “open up” TV studios.
Print media: This is the difficult part. Mainstream media, especially English, is already controlled by Left-Liberal cabal. Regional media have a huge role as a counteracting force. They must seek out above independent voices and give them space.
A tactics which we could learn from Lutyens Media is how they create a narrative and then sustain it. They pick up a subject, sustain it with old and new information, new angles, helpful interviews, columns in edits and even anniversaries! And what “Lone Rangers” have done with Madarsa Rape? A customary objection and little else. Haven’t we shifted our focus away from Audrey Truschke too soon? (And don’t give me the BS that it would only make her a star).
It’s all about rallying to a cause. It alone sustains passion and reverses the narrative.
Bollywood: It has long been controlled by dubious funds and Muslim-centric ethos. A “pujari” is always shown lecherous (e.g Kanhaiya Lal or a Shakti Kapoor) while a “Muslim” character is invariably depicted as paanch-time namazi (viz a A.K. Hangal). All the right-minded Indians could do is to expose their duplicity–regularly.
The above four forces–to go with the fifth of school texts and academia–control the narrative. “Lone Rangers” need to grow muscles to counter it. Own ivory towers won’t help. As long as heart is in the right place, differences in IQs, fan-following, language quality, status must not matter. IT MUST NOT MATTER.
“Lone Rangers” clearly suffer from resources. But for their toil and time, sweat and passion, there is little in support. Most of them sacrifice their working hours or leisure time with family to do what they feel is necessary for India’s future. They need be supported, not judged through prejudicial, hierarchical lenses.
These voices need be sustained; be called over to seminars and panel discussions; be invited to educational institutions for lectures; be part of alternative litfests. I have been a journalist all my life and trust me, voices mentioned about talk more sense than my own discredited professional community.
Lack of time ought not to be any excuse. Hit the road in protests on your temples, education and religion. Don’t back off. Only those who assert their identity, retain their identity.
A call must go out to corporate houses. Look at how The Wire gets its funds. They are given funds by a foundation which has trustees such as Aamir Khan, Azim Premji, Ms Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, TN Ninan. If you can’t spare time to write or debate, at least spare change from your pockets, big or small, and make a difference. Or remain deluded with the story that a hard-working tortoise wins race in the end.
The other day an Indian Express editor sat down to write an edit on his computer with a chuckle.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb had backed his claim on “internet-in-Mahabharata” with a chiding to those “narrow-minded” who ridiculed their own civilization and swooned over everything Western.
Commies, by grounding if not funding, follow the first commandment of ensuring the culture of a country gets diluted and their “revolution” gains sufficient wind. After seven decades, even as the door is being shut on them in India, the dog’s tail, however, remains crooked as ever.
This pipsqueak thus chooses the moment to mock millions of Hindus with various references to their epics, wondering where is the “Facebook page” of a Dhritarashtra; why did Duryodhan and Yudhishtir at all physically gamble when they could have done so “online”; and Ganesha ought to have used Ved Vyasa’s smartphone to get help from speech-to-text technology.
This twerp must not have known that his computer can’t function without binary numbers which were first described by the Vedic scholar Pingala in his book “Chandahsastra” in the 2nd century BC. That if he has millions in his bank account, it couldn’t have been possible without ancient Indians making the distinct contributions in the notation and decimal system, not to mention the use of zero.
If the editor had gone beyond his toilet paper origami, he could’ve found out that the works of Newton Leibniz or Gregory (ever heard of them?) is today known as “Madhava-Newton” series after the 14th century founder of the famous Kerala school of mathematics.
Next time when he swoons over his new-age newspaper office building, he ought to reflect how shapes and sizes of plots wouldn’t have been possible without trigonometry being formulated by Aryabhata. How the eclipse Commies are deservingly suffering world over, could have a physical link to the lunar and solar eclipses which Aryabhata discovered.
If he had lifted his head over from his Gangsta Rap Colouring Book, he would have known that the circumference of the earth; and that it rotates around stationery sun was a discovery by ancient Indians.
If he hadn’t been knitting with dog’s hair, and noticed the changing season, he could’ve thanked Varahamihira for his contribution in the field. The whippersnapper could’ve added to his advanced knowledge of treachery and subterfuge had he known the contributions of Shulbasutras in the arena of geometry, algebra and calculus. If he hadn’t been in the basement and working on divide theory, one could have told him about Kanad and the atomic theory he devised around 2600BC, centuries before John Dalton was born, for the “uncuttability” of matter.
It’s alright to read the manual on how to shit in the woods. It’s quite another to have a digestion for ancient India’s uncontestable achievements. This runt is not alone in squirting around: the likes of The Wire and NDTV have similarly been offensive to sentiments of millions of Hindus. Their ersatz narrative is invariably hooked on selective Western references. Who are we to tell them that Albert Einstein once believed: “We owe a lot to the ancient Indians…without which most modern scientific discoveries would have been impossible.”
Dr. Satya Pal Singh, just a fortnight into his induction as junior HRD minister, had a taste of Left-Liberal Cabal’s viciousness when he was lampooned for remarking that it was an Indian, and not Wright Brothers, who invented plane in 1895, a good eight years before.
The usual suspects—NDTV, The Wire and Lutyens’ Media—laid into the upright and erudite minister through hacks breeding in their cesspool. Spiteful headlines and ornery punchlines were stuffed in cadaver of philosophy. Little thought was given to an officer and a gentleman—whose long-stint as a police officer is the stuff of a legend. Nor the Minister’s academic background—an Mphil in Chemistry—deserved a second thought from these stone-pelters.
The Wire in particular—a prototype of Scroll, Huffington Post, Quint etc with anything but good of India in their mind—laid into Dr. Satya Pal Singh with a gusto. It’s a painfully long read, sermonizing, forensically examining the credentials of the Indian in question, Shivkar Bapuji Talpade. The writer finds it a near heresy that Wright Brothers are not seen as ones who invented aeroplane. He chillingly asks us to be ready for a “long spell of darkness” in today’s India.
So, let me break his heart. The claims of Wright Brothers are being written out of history now. There is now a clinching evidence that it was a German, Gustave Whitehead, who flew a “condor” plane in August 1901, a good two years before the Wright Brothers did it. Take the word of the “Bible” of aviation history, Jane’s All the World’s Aircraft, for it.
Still unconvinced? Be forewarned that lawmakers of Connecticut–a US state with no connection to RSS, if you may—have moved a Bill to get Whitehead his rightful due.
Want more heat? Whitehead’s story has popped up every few decades in the last 100 years. No less that 17 eye-witnesses and newspaper reports backed Whitehead’s credentials. Fourteen of these accounts have been notarized. Aviation historians say there are compelling reasons to throw out Wright Brothers’ claims.
Jane’s Journal assiduously researched the claim of aviation expert John Brown and declared: “(Whitehead’s flight), it must be stressed, was more than two years before the Wright Brothers manhandled their flyer from its shed and flew a couple of hundred feet in a straight line…(thus) an injustice is rectified…”
Google would show you that some consider the stuff of Wright Brothers the biggest fraud in history. Reports abound that Wright Brothers didn’t as much do their flight as “catapulted” it –by going doing the hill off an inclining. Folks, there is a difference between a hop and a real flight.
Now steel up for this gut in the blow, you hacks. Wrights signed a contract to give the Smithsonian Museum the brothers’ plane with the clause that the museum would never declare another aircraft was the first to achieved powered flight!!! (check this link)
Aviation historian Tom Crouch says that the Wrights “stuck one clause into the contract that said if the Smithsonian ever says anybody flew before the Wright brothers, we have the right to take the airplane back.
“That clause is in fact still in the contract.”
The claims of Wright Brothers’ being thus grounded, let’s turn our attention to Talpade who–the poor chap–has been dragged to cleaners by these unscrupulous jackals. The Wire goes to obscene lengths to deny Talpade the credit but still had to concede it was a “disputed—(and not false)—claim.” In their unscrupulous rush, they concealed facts such as:
(a) There is a Wikipedia page on Talpade and his achievement which precedes Dr. Satya Pal’s assertion by years;
(b) There are numerous newspaper reports, including Times of India, in the last two decades on Talpade’s feat;
(c) That just two years ago, a biopic Hawaizada, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, on Talpade’s aviation feat had an all-India release.
The Wire, quite stupidly, claims that Talpade’s was a primitive flight which didn’t go beyond 1500 metres in the air. Who are we to tell the online rag that Whitehead’s claim today is being acknowledged for only being 50 metres above the ground! And that Wrights’ first didn’t go beyond 115 metres.and that too through an incline.
There is such a rush to “hunt down” any facts which supports India and its glorious past these days. It was the imperial policy of British Raj which was duly bequeathed to Indians educated in Western mores. Call them brainwashed or paid agents, whatever, but surely compromised nevertheless. In double quick time they jump to discredit our heritage, lest it becomes widespread and Indian masses wake up to their ancient glory. A Rahul Gandhi can make a stupid claim of “All-NRIs” on foreign soil but you won’t find presstitutes go for his throat.
This academic mafia intends to make Hindutava advocates duck for cover and retreat into their shells. The narrative, in their view, must not be allowed to gain a traction. Have you read any follow-up on India having discovered “zero” at least 500 years before the accepted date as was recently found by the world? Or that India “invented” the Decimal System? Or our atom theory which the modern world acknowledges as quantum physics? Or India’s spectacular science of astronomy, never mind its astonishing advancements in steel-manufacturing?
It was famous historian Will Durant who had said: “India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe’s languages: she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics; mother, through the Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity; mother, through the village community, of self-government and democracy. Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all”.
So, it’s time to stand up and applaud the Minister. Flush out all the facts on Talpade and give India’s forgotten hero his due. Present his credentials to Jane’s Journal or similar authorities. And a simple message to academic charlatans:
Be ready to see from tomorrow our newspapers painted red with India’s “freedom” brigade outraged at the denial of visa to Dolkun Isa.
The first stone will be cast in the Indian Parliament–having just begun its session–where the issues of drought and natural disasters, jobs and economy will be cast aside as our elected representatives will fall over each other at the terrible “intolerance” of Modi government on Isa affair.
A few predictions: Barack Obama or Melinda Gates would express concern; British parliamentarians would plan to send a delegation on human rights to India; and European Union would worry over what has come over Gandhi’s land. You already know who would “condemn,” “criticize” and “allege” against Modi in screaming headlines on front pages tomorrow on.
No one would bother to check a few basic points: (a) Isa has an Interpol alert against him; (b) his visa application had flouted the norms and (c) India could have been seen as supporting terrorism.
There’s no reason to bait China who has never pricked India with conferences of Maoists, Naxalites and northeast rebels in its cities.
And what’s such a big deal about blocking “Azhar” being termed a terrorist at the UN forum? UN has blacklisted many terrorist organizations but neither their funding nor recruitment has been affected.
More than symbolic gestures, it’s important to understand the geopolitical reality. China desperately needs Pakistan and its Gawadar port for secure supply of its energy resources from the Middle East. It has a legitimate ground on the Dalai Lama issue, if not the NorthEast border disputes. It hasn’t hosted our “rebels” or “Hurriyat” leaders.
There’s a lot to gain if India and China build bridges and align themselves on major issues to save Asia from imperialist designs which comes in the form of “free trade” these days. That China and India agree on the point of Isa is unacceptable to Western powers and its captive, servile media.
Want an evidence? Just google search on “Isa and denied Indian visa.” You would squirm with unease on lengthy stories in New York Times and big digital outposts such as The Wire. Most media “heavyweights” have not only written thousands of words on the matter but have also been able to dial Isa for his reactions.
Most media outlets, including Indian media, have been able to phone Isa and get his reaction. A great PR agency has clearly been working round the clock on behalf of Isa to international press. Who’s behind such well-oiled publicity machine is easy to guess.
That alone ought to tell you the jitters in the West at the slightest hint of India and China drawing closer to each other. The forums of BRICS and SCO is simply unpalatable to them. A great game is being played in Asia and at stake is the hegemony of the world’s superpower.
Silly me to have presumed that you already know about Dolkun Isa issue. Mr Isa, 48, is a leader of the World Uyghur Congress, a Munich-based group that wants independence for Xinjiang, a region of western China, home to a large population of Uyghurs, mostly Muslim ethnic minority. He now lives in Germany. Isa feld China in 1994.
And here’s the punch: In all this chest-thumping and anguish on Isa, no newspaper has bothered to inform us about the exact nature of conference in Dharamshala. Well, here it is: it’s being organized by a Washington-based (sigh) NGO, “Initiatives for China,” which is run by Yang Jianli, Harvard mathematician and a prominent Chinese pro-democracy leader.
Do you see the connection? If not yet then start writing down the names of all those who hit out against the Modi government and whom you read from tomorrow on in our newspapers. These would be the politicians, academicians and journalists who are paid in cash or kind to subvert the nation.
